Hi,

 

I’m Terry Nepean, Office Manager of the M&S Group.

On behalf of the directors and staff at the M&S Group I would like to thank you for considering a career with us.

I’ve been extremely privileged to have spent the last 20 years with the M&S Group and as I look back over these years there have been many rewarding experiences which define my time with this great organisation. When someone asks me why I spent all this time at the M&S Group, I have a very simple answer, it’s the people. I’ve worked with some of the most dynamic and encouraging people. They are people who take a real interest in my career and helped me develop to the best of my abilities both professionally and personally. I’m very proud to say that the M&S Group are recognised for this within the Goulburn Valley regional community through local talk of our reputation as a great employer who has great people.

I truly believe that should you decide to begin your career with a professional services firm, such as this one or any others for that matter, that it is the right choice. Interview Tips

At the point of an interview, you are usually past the knowledge and skills based assessment so we want to get to know you, so just be yourself, be honest and genuine as this is something we look for.

 

Some additional tips:
 
 
  • Know the business and don’t ask something that is already on the website.
  • Build a personal rapport with the interviewer.
  • Take this as an opportunity to build a relationship with the interviewer and get to know the M&S Group.
  • You need to establish if this is an environment and culture that fits you.
  • Communicate what kind of person you are i.e. organised, hard worker, etc.
  • Demonstrate who you are and don’t just answer questions.
  • Articulate your life goals, what your career path is and what you want to get out of your time with us.
  • Most importantly, relax and see if this it the place you want to work too.

    The Recruitment Process

    • An acknowledgement of receipt of application will be sent to you.
    • We assess your application.
    • Should we wish to meet with you, we will contact you by telephone to schedule an interview.
    • When we do not wish to proceed with your application, we will notify you in writing. Please note that we do keep your application on file for three months unless otherwise advised.
    • If you are successful, we will contact you by telephone to make an offer. This is also put in writing and sent to you.
    • Should you accept our offer, a commencement date is negotiated and then you begin!

     

    Things happen quite quickly and usually it takes a couple of weeks between interview and start date, so be prepared!
